This was an interesting topic, but one that I found difficult. I have often seen the delicious symbol about and around but did not know what it refered to - although I do now!! Social bookmarking and tagging is quite useful and I can definitely see potential for it as a way to share research done on the internet.
I have often found it frustrating when you finally set up your bookmarks on a computer and the only way to use them on another computer is to export and import them. Delicious seems like a much more practical and useful way of doing this.
The idea of then sharing those bookmarks and tags is great, although only within a 'network' with exactly the same interests etc, as otherwise it would become unwieldy and irrelevant.
It is a very good way of sharing knowledge and making it specific to a project or course.

Week 7 - Online Video
This was a great week as I have often used YouTube but only for funny vieos that friends have recommended. I also wondered how people embedded the videos into other websites - so that has now all been uncovered! Who knew that Google had a video storage! I should have guessed, they have everything else.
Anyway - videos can be used for a lot of things in the State Library. The video I have embedded underneath is for a physical tour of a university building which I think is a good example of what can be done quite easily and quickly, and which is quite effective.
I noticed on YouTube that there was a video of Mylee Joseph talking about developing a Library Services model which was great. Who knew that we were doing that at the Library! We should let others know that it is out there!
